A Major Museum's Next Move
In the midst of a major reconstruction of its multi-acre property, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA) anticipated a need to maximize its museum space once the refurbishment was complete, and turned to Sidley for help in leasing permanent office space nearby. On LACMA’s behalf, the firm — a longtime sponsor of the museum — negotiated a long-term lease for occupancy in a building near LACMA’s campus, as well as the right to install art in the building for public viewing and to partially brand the building as LACMA’s new headquarters space.
“The Sidley team did a fantastic job negotiating the long-term lease and representing LACMA. They have been professional and incredibly responsive to our needs, and their ability to get to salient deal points and negotiate a fair resolution was remarkable. We are so grateful that they represented us.”
